From Maya to Nirvana

I thought the world which revolve around me is only created by me. We keep on wanting and at the end of day, what we have is lots of things which we wanted and whose outcomes we face.
Is it always too difficult to live in the maya we accumulate for ourselves?
I think nirvana is not getting all we wanted, but it is learning how to not want.
